well, hello there.

Hello, my friends. It's been a while, hasn't it? Spring has shown its beauty since I've been away. I'd love to tell you all that I've been in London or at the Grand Canyon or some spectacular place like that, but I've really just been here, in my lovely little city, for the past month. Introverting. A lot. And thinking about life and where it is and where it's going. And just how much I'm going to miss some of my friends, come the end of summer. But, fortunately, it's mid-spring, and we've got a little bit more time together.

It's amazing what can go down in a month, you know? Because a lot has in this past month. I'm beginning to settle into where I am right now, and with what's going to come. Life is terrifying but beautiful, and I'm going to try my hardest to make all of it worth it. Because living a life that I'm not in love with (even when it's hard) doesn't seem like a good idea. Contentment, on the other hand, does.

That's been something God has been trying to teach me. Contentment and joy, that is. And I've come far. But I have a long way to go. And I think this next year, however challenging it may be, will be very much worth it because of that.

So I suppose you could say that I'm beginning to settle into moving forward. And that is quite fun to think about.

Rebekah

  3. I'm glad you have settled. It takes me a while to settle because I'm resistant to change, and I'm quite introverted and I lack motivation to get into the social life. :)

Also, I have to ask, what is your camera? Your photos are astoundingly beautiful!

    1. Thank you, Jo. :) Yeah, I understand. But keep trying! It's worth it. You'll regret not becoming good friends with the people around you. At least . . . I did. :P

It's a Canon Rebel XSi. And thank you so much for the compliment! :)

  6. Absolutely beautiful pictures! ^.^ We have an abundance of violets and dandelions, and though they're 'weeds' around here, I love them. A sea of purple and yellow is gorgeous and really under-appreciated. I think, as long as your introversion isn't getting in the way of anything else, it's probably okay.... (:

God has his ways of getting us to notice things. :3 Contentment is a hard lesson to learn sometimes, but a good one. I'm glad to hear it's going well!
